As part of its mission, the Foundation will continue its predecessor's earlier work on collecting and reporting on diving incidents, injuries and fatalities in Australasia.

These studies have, and continue to, reveal important information that will benefit the entire diving community and improve recreational diving safety. Without such studies, many important questions about recreational diving safety would not only remain unchallenged, but unanswered.
